Accessibility at the Market

The Victoria Farmers Market at Moss Street site and washroom facilities are wheelchair and stroller accessible.

Purchasing at the Market

Most vendors accept credit cards or debit cards, but not all. There is no ATM at the market.

Dogs at the Market

We are pleased to allow dogs (on leash) throughout the outdoor portions of our market.

Waste at the Market

In the spirit of sustainability and eco-mindedness, many of our vendors do not offer plastic bags to customers, and many more are transitioning to non-disposable options at their stalls. At the end of each market day, our market staff sort through the bins to separate the compostables, recyclables and disposable waste. Market visitors can help by placing waste in the proper containers and taking recyclables and disposables home, or by avoiding them altogether. Please remember to bring your own reusable bags or baskets on market day.

Washrooms

Regular Season: Washrooms are located on the lower level of the Fairfield Gonzales Community Association “The Place” building. Access is from either side of the back of the building.
Winter Market: Washrooms are in the Sir James Douglas school hallway.

Getting to the Market

Handcrafted and Homegrown by Locals

Moss Street Farmers Market is held every Saturday in the beautiful Fairfield community of Victoria, BC, on the grounds of Sir James Douglas School, surrounding Moss Street and Thurlow Road boulevards, and abutting Porter Park. We gratefully acknowledge that we live, work, and play on the traditional unceded lands of the Lekwungen peoples of the Esquimalt & Songhees Nations.
